The Sony Walkman has reached the end of Side B, you can’t rewind any more… Last week Sony announced they have stopped production of their iconic, much loved portable cassette player. It has had a good run, surviving the MP3 generation a lot longer than expected, but the time has finally come to listen to those last “click click click”s. For those of you that love music mixed with that beautiful hissing, fuzzing buzz our hearts go out to you… We all have fond memories of our first Walkman and sitting for hours making those mixed tapes that so vividly define epic moments of our lives – breakups, makeups, best friends, school trips, your first disco, your first kiss – thanks Walkman for all the great memories.
