Last week the whole world watched as 33 miners emerged from the Chilean mine shaft after their 69 day entrapment. Due to the length of time spent underground in the dark the miners’ eyes wouldn’t have done well in broad daylight, therefore they all made their escape in sunglasses. We’d love to know which clever cat at Oakleys agreed to donate 35 pars of their sun glasses to the miners, as with all the TV coverage the rescue received Oakley scored an estimated US$41 million in advertising time!
