Google have officially announced the launch of their Android software designed specifically for wearable devices. Of course, this means a whole bunch of new options when it comes to companies and developers creating new and exciting wearable devices, but for the immediate future, what this really means is that the smart watch industry is about to get a huge boost in innovation.

Useful Info when you need it most
The wide variety of apps means you’ll receive chat messages, updates from or your favourite apps, social media notifications, and more straight to your wrist in real-time.
Straight answers to spoken questions
Just say “Ok Google” to ask questions or get stuff done: what time your flight leaves; the score of the game; or to call a taxi, send a text, or set an alarm.
Monitor your health and fitness
Get reminders and fitness summaries from your favourite fitness apps, including real-time speed, distance and time information however you decide to work out.
The key to a multiscreen world
Android Wear lets you access and control other devices from your wrist. Once again, just say “Ok Google” to fire up a music playlist on your phone, or watch your favourite movie on a connected TV.
