“Hi, I’m a Futurist,” may not work as a pick up line in many bars or club scenes, but there are probably a few expos and conventions where it’s more successful than bathing in Sex Panther. Regardless of its pick up potential, it’s still pretty amazing, especially when part of your job (“job”, HAHAHA) is getting authors to write books about the future so you can pick out the details that have a chance of becoming reality and then using those to plot developments for your company. The truth sounds a little stranger than the fiction they may actually turn up.
